Looking to lower my 1987 R10 short bed, I want to put dirt bikes in the bed. Wondering if I put a 5/7 drop will I have rubbing issues?
Thanks for the help

Probably won't rub (depending on tire/wheel width) but you'll probably hit frame to axle.

Seems a bit ambitious to me, but I bet it could be engineered in. Throw enough money at something and it's bound to happen.

Start a build thread with pictures and we can go along with it too.

airbags. Extra suspension when you need it.
Me, if I was into that sort of thing, I'd stick with 4/6. Still have a bit of flex, but able to lay frame if that's your thing.

Dad had an 87 R10 long bed. Even brand new it looked lowered...odd truck that one was.
305/th350c/2.73 gears.
Absolutely gutless on a 2 lane pass...put 220k on it though.

I agree with the other folks. There is no one size fits all answer, it depends on how you lower it and what tires you have. I would encourage you not to drop it if you plan on using it to haul anything, but that is just my opinion. Can it be done, I'm sure it can but how much you wanna spend?
