I pulled the Headlight knob out of the Headlight switch and had to replace it. Now I replaced it and got the headlights working again but the cab light wont turn off now. Ive tried turning it left and right but nothing turns it off. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how I can fix it?

the dome light or the floor light? or the top of the cab running lights? or the cargo lamp to the bed?

Sorry if this is obvious- but I've got to ask. When you are trying to turn it off by twisting the knob- you do have your door closed- correct?

turned all the way left- is on & it just takes a small turn towards the right to turn off

Those interior lights are ground switched. The switches on the doors ground the circuit when opened. The headlight switch does the same thing when you twist it all the way to the left. It has to be one of those switches not opening or the control wire is shorted somewhere.

I had same issue, was drivers side door jamb switch. Cheap fix at like $8.

I replaced the entire switch. Kept the old knob it still works
I recently replaced my light switch and it made all kinds of weird **** happen.

After an excessive amount of digging through my lighting system bulbs, harnesses, fuses, wires, etc, I found that the new light switch was just garbage!

There is a metal 'bar' per say in there that should only make contact at the end of travel to the metal body (all the way left). If that little bar is bent weird, it will ALWAYS make contact and your interior lights will always be on. I tried to bend the new one I got just enough to make that no longer the case. I found, however, that it wasn't just mis-shapen, but the whole frigging metal piece can juggle somewhat freely and screw it all up as soon as you fix it and put it back in.

I would see if it's that. I imagine there's a lot of cheaply made replacements floating about the market at the moment.

I will note my door jam switch was also broken and after fixing that, the issue persisted till I found the issue in the light switch itself.
