Hey,
I recently bought a 1984 c20 off a friend to replace my rusted out 1974 c10, I would like to keep the wheels I have off the c10 and the 12 bolt posi. As far as I’ve read I should be able to get a conversion U-joint for the rear axle and it should all bolt back in. The front suspension is what’s been confusing me, I’ve read to swap the tie rods, lower control arm, and put c10 ball joints on the upper control arm, then a c10 spindle should work. Has anyone done this swap that can chime in?

You could swap all suspension, steering and brake components from your C10 to the C20 as the engine crossmembers and mounting points are the same. You could even swap the whole crossmember.

I’m trying to do this with as little work as possible, the c20 suspension is also in much better condition, I don’t see a reason to swap in the c10 suspension. I saw CPP makes some “modular spindles” so I may just end up using those.

The modular C20 spindles can be used with 5 lug rotors?
