I can only imagine it had the misfortune of being built with the olds 350 diesel. The 307 was probably the only thing they could find that would bolt to the trans when the original let go. Prime candidate for a 455 olds engine.
Or even a nice Rocket could be worse they could of put a 260 in it. Lol

I heard somewhere that small blocks were for training and big blocks were for men or some such inane comment. Not really sure where I heard it though.

I also heard that statement end with "and when they're done being insecure, throw away the spark plugs and carburetors, and buy an old diesel."
