That thing sits pretty stout for a 2WD. And front tow hooks on a 2WD? Sits like a fo-bu-foh. Change the wheels and I'd take care of that one.

That is why I prefer 3/4 tons. I like their stance much better. They look like trucks, not station wagons.

I might even be more enthuzed about this 91 if it were 3/4 ton. And for sure if it were 4x4. I'm losing a bit of interest in it cuz I know it's not what I want. Losing insterest in the K10 project too sicne it's not a Burb.

I didn't say I didn't like Silvy. She makes a great boat towin' station wagon !!! And she has power mirrors and don't sag in the ass like 89Sburby did, may she Rest In Pieces !!!


I just think I want to put my time and energy into what I really want. If I had my way right now, I'd keep the 85 K10 that has the Diesel VIN #, and find me a K5 or K20 Burb. I'd even do a Crew Cab K30. But I think the K20 Burb is going to be the most common and easiest to find, so that means cheaper in price and more parts available. I'd really like to just transfer this 91 Burb body to a 4x4 frame being it's such a good body. But I think I wanna get down to 2 squares and put all my time, effort and what little cash into those 2.

Definitely. My brother has a '67 K10 with a 292 and I have been amazed at the things that truck will pull.

Nope, 292, long strokin 6cyl gas motor. Yeah, I'd imagine it'll struggle climbing a hill. The motor won't be struggling much in the right gear and the rear axle in low range, but top speed may only be 30-35mph.
