Maybe I am thinking of the wrong motor. The 2.8 in my ex's Beretta kicked ass. I am talking about the 60 degree V-6. Either way, I'll take a Dodge over any Ford.....FORD BOY.

Those are both 60 degree V6s...The Beretta was MPFI though.

The 2.8 IS a JUNK IMO. It may have improved, but still, no matter what it's still a 60 degree V6. The motor was originally thought of for front wheel drive passenger cars and it should have never been in a RWD vehicle IMO.

That's some old school stuff right there. Good **** too. A bit similar to what my buddy is running on his 4 cyl dragester with a magneto instead of a dizzy.

STFU Ive got the 2.8 in my S10 with almost 250,000 miles on it and have never done anything other then pull the valva covers on it to fix the leak. Still runs nice n strong and will roast the 295/50/15's thru 3rd gear lol.

What year is yours? That does sound impressive. I know for a fact the 82-84 models were flat junk. Cracked heads, spun bottom ends and all kinds of ****, well under 100K. I'm talking around the 50-70K mark they were failing badly.
