I see the AC condensing unit housing sticking out of the firewall.

good point and I don't see a compressor in the engine compartment

The compressor would not be in the pic. Its on the far right side, but NO, I don't see the center vent as Retro points out either. So maybe not.

When did the switch if over to the left then? Mine's on the left (i.e. driver's side).

Those trucks have MASSIVE heater boxes.

That's what I was thinking that was rather than the condenser box. The ad also doesn't mention anything about having AC and I'd think he surely would.

I had the truck version at one point, sold it because I had too many vehicles. You know you have too many cars when you start getting Christmas cards from the DMV.

Nice El Camino! That and the 67 are about the only Elkies I like! I would be sick if I ever sold something like that. I'd just build more garage space :D

No AC would be a deal breaker for me. I'm only a couple of hours North of there so it's within range but it gets over a hundred degrees here in the Summer.

Edit: The Elky was a hoot, built 396 with a factory 4-speed and posi. I have a four car garage but at that point I had six cars, two motorcycles, and three boats.

I'm with you on the AC thing. I've posted this a few times but I'm a wuss when it comes to the heat cuz I sweat so easily. I hate driving somewhere and then being a sweaty mess by the time I get there especially if I'm trying to look nice or something. My 77 doesn't have a working AC yet but it's in the works. All the parts are there I just need to get them working again or replace them with new parts. Here the entire month of August is in the mid 90's up to 110 plus the humidity so AC is an absolute must for anything I drive on a regular basis! :D

Ah yes....I see what the difference is there. Now I need to go back and look at the ad for the truck in question and see if I can squint hard enough to see any other detail.
