I see the 8.1L V8 Corvette short block has the ever popular SBC chrome valve covers...

NO, I do beleive that actually is big block valve covers. They are tall so they don't look as wide. I'd say that is worth the $800 even though it's not getting driven away. I'd first make sure the motor isn't seized and I'd check the cast # on the block. Appears to have some rust issues, but the money is in the powertrain.

HR, take a look at the exhaust manifold...4 and 6 look a little to close to be a big block.

Yep, you got me. I was looking at the valve cover. I guess it's just a low OEM height SBC cover. He' had to cram his firm $800 up his ass. Not being able to drive it off, and I see there is certainly going to be some rust issues. Looks to be alot of blisters in the lower edges and that's a bad sign. It's much worse underneat. Altough, it's still not past workable, but it's gonna have some rust issues. I'd go $600, maybe even $700 just cuz it's a Blazer, but Naww, not a Silverado, $600.

Yea, I was thinking it looked pretty good, but on closer inspection it looks to have a lot of rust just waiting to rear its ugly head. $600 would probably be good since he apparently isn't very mechanically inclined. :whymewhyme:

Yep, and I'm wondering if he don't have the wrong carb gasket on that intake. I'd sure check into that. Might be right, but I'm seeing the gap toward the back of the plenum. I think on that intake, that needs to be blocked off.

I thought something was wrong, and that's probably why he's selling the damn thing. Lets not tell him and get it for $600 and sell it 30 minutes later for $1000.

Damn, that mighta had the rear axle I needed too. 48in back plate to back plate, 6 lug and brakes. I'm thinking I may just get axles from one, then do the rear disk brake conversion and a Mico Park Brake E Lock.
