Small tires, but I bet they are still good for mudding and traction. Probably worth the $200 for as aggresive pattern they have. They won't be cheap to buy new for sure.

I was thinking on jumping on them but when they wear out they would be expensive to replace like you said so forget that idea.....

Can't find **** for that size tire used around here.....

And they'd wear out quick on pavement too. They'd be good to have on a set of spare wheels. When you wanted to go wheeling, just swap your wheels and go, then switch back when you got home.

Hey Retro, I remember that distibutor now. It was the even fire 3.8 Bucik 231 dizzy that the guy was wanting me to sell him and break up my complete motor I was selling. Rock Auto has it too for $124 for just the Delco Remy Dizzy, no modules, cap or rotor. That really isn't to bad for as rare as it is according to this guy. He should have bought the whole motor I was selling for $100. I have a guy coming to pick it up today for $100. I wanted to save it for a project, but time to start letting things go so I can work on my squares. $100 is cheap for an even fire 231 in complete from carb to pan, fan to flywheel. Supposed to run too, but I never fired it up, being sold as is.

EDIT >>> Dude just left with the Buick 231 Even Fire V6 and put a hunerd dollas in my pawket !!!

BTW, that motor was out of an 80 Monza I paid $100 for. Sold the rolling chassis for $200. Kept the trans core and conveter since it was the universal case. Now sold the motor for $100. Coulda got more, but I'd rather see someone get it that will use it, put some cash in my pocket and move another motor out of my way. A guy is supposed to come tommorow and buy a long tail Turbo 400 out of a Pontiac for $125 and another guy to buy the wore out Olds 350 long block for $50. Moving stuff out and to good homes. :waytogo:

Lotso power in a very small light package. A very commonly wanted motor for things like putting in Willy's Jeeps or Toyota trucks to make rock crawleers out of. They are also very durable motor and good mpg motors too. Farily easy to work on and just have a great reputation. These motors aren't much bigger than many 4 cylinders. Also the motor that is added a turbo and put in Grand Nationals.

So that is primarily a RWD or 4WD motor then, not a FWD, right? What can it mount to as far as trans's, is it the same as a small block chevy?

Jeep used an earlier version of the Buick 90* V6 in the late 60s and early 70s.

It's been used in RWD, FWD and 4WD.

Yep its been used in everything under the sun since it so durable. If you hear of the GM 3.8, or 3800, that is a dirivative of this Buick 231 cu in 90 degree V6. The bell pattern on the back is standard Buick which is the same as Buick, Pontiac, Olds and most Caddy, so if you're heard of GM universal case, or BPO (Buick,Pont,Olds) case, that's what fits it. A great universal small package. Really good motors, espeically the Even Fire like this one was. $100 for a complete Buick 231 with brackets and all, is a flat ass steal. I didn't care, I needed some cash, I'm not greedy, I'd already made some profit on that car so this was pure profit and it went to a good home which pleases me even more and its outta my way. Not like I was ever going to get to that project or have the funds for it. This guy is putting it in a 64 Buick Special.
