motor yes, that trans being a 94 should be a 4l60e, wich i am sure you already know is a 700r4 electronic

I put a call in and left a message. Fingers are crossed. :sad72:

Towman is right, it SHOULD BE a 4L60-E, but looking at the pics, it is not. Somehas converted back to a 700r4, or its not a 94. But, its obvioulsy a TBI 5.7 and the I see a TV cable on the trans, and I don't see the green round 4L60-E harness coupler, so all that should bolt in 89S's Burb, but the tailshaft if wrong for 4x4. Still a good core for you though. Someone like Pops or I could pull your output shaft, put it in this trans, and then it'll bolt right in. :waytogo:

I hope this dude calls me back and it's still availiable. That motor is complete. And if it's a trans that will work on mine I can have it as a core as you said and I can rebuild it as a spare trans with you's guys help in my spare time.

On another note, the guy I talked to with the baby blue Burb a few posts back, he said the motor and trans and t-case are all solid and running good. I told him I'd offer $700 for it. I could at least run that truck until the inspection runs out then pull the motor for this truck. And have a **** load of spare parts to yank off it and junk what's left. He said he will see if a few higher offers pan out or not and he will call me if he will go with my offer.

So there is two options I am waiting for answers for to get a good used motor into my hands. :emotions122:

Wasn't Blue Burb guy wanting $1200 and you offered $700??? You might not hear back from him. If you want it, hit him again at $900. I wouldn't go over $900 though. Where was the body work it needed? It looked great in pics. And if motor trans and tcase are good, $900 even is a great deal for that Burb. I'd do it if I had the $900. I think I am leaning toward 4x4 Burb again instead of K5. Just cuz I know the 4x4 Burbs are more common, and you can steal them. Can't steal a K5. Also, Burbs are available in 3/4 ton, K5 is not. I'd prefer a 4x4 Burb with Buckets, 3/4 ton 4x4. Gray interior is first choice, Blue 2nd.

And yeah, good luck on the motor deal too. You're right, that would be a good core builder for you to practice with. I'll let you in on a little secret too, Even though its a 2WD trans, just get you a 700r4 4x4 output shaft off eBay for $25. Put that in it instead of the 2wd output shaft when you build it, then there you go, you now have a 4x4 700r4 ready to bolt in.

EDIT. Take that back, $20 off ebay for a 700r4 4x4 output shaft.

Not worth it to me to spend $900 on that. If I really wanted it that bad, I might offer $800, like I did with my current one. I'm just looking to get my hands on the motor, and maybe run that truck as is until the inspection is out. If this guy can't sell this thing with the rusted out ass end he'll be calling me. I just wanted my foot in the door as the last option for him. He even said the hitch on the back was rusted so bad he took it off so if he sold it it wouldn't fall off and kill anybody, lol. How much can you get for a truck like that? Unless some sucker caomes along who doesn't know what to look for.

No brutha, all you change is the output shaft. That's it. You don't use a tailshaft housing on a 4x4, the Tcase adapter is your tailshaft housing, and you have that already.

Ahh hh OK, I didn't realize that was the body work it needed. I figured it had a dent or something, didn't realize it was a rust bucket. $700 is probably a fair offer then.

I assume there is a gasket where it bolts together too right?

Jesus Christ, I can't win lately. Dude sold the motor/trans to some dude in VA. He says he has a '92 motor with 130K on it, no trans for $400. And the alternator/AC Comp are on opposite sides mine are and there is no oil cooler diverter at the filter, so I'd have to swap all mine over. Then he said one exhaust manifold is cracked and there is red sealer on the farking intake manifold gaskets. I want something I can drop right in damn it. :banghead:

Just an O ring. The same O ring, that WOULD go on the tailshaft, instead it goes on the Tcase adapter.
