I am not to concerned about the frame I can always move the body to another lengthened frame.

Dam Oklahoma and texas has all the good ole trucks I hate mizzuri

I think you meant to say, you hate Misery. The Show me State !!!

I haven't seen any good deals around lately on CL. But I haven't been watching it lately either. To get the good deals, you have to have to be on it and bird doggin CL or they're gone before you even dial their # or send them an email.

Huh??? For real??? You're gonna buy a 2wd and convert it to 4??? You realize how much work that is? And you still have to find a donor truck for the conversion. I'm just thinking this isn't a good deal for you Pops. You can find decent, not good, but not horibbly bad K20's around for $1400 to $1800. I'd rather be patching a few cab corners than doing a 2wd to 4wd conversion. And you are going Vortec huh??? So you're not even gonna use the engine, trans and wiring. I've seen K20 rollers for as low as $300 with axles and driveshafts. Just add powertrain. Now its been awhile though. Car bodies paying so high for scrap is hurting people like us. Rather than sell for $100-$200, they can take over the scale and get $250-$300 and not have to deal with dipshits calling and bugging them. Just saying, unless you have something else in mind, this isnt' a good purchase for what you want. JMO

Actually it is easy for me to swap 2X4 to 4X4. All I need is a chasis then I can fire the 40' boom crane up and move the body to the 4X4 :D
