Will that bolt into a SB or is there a lot of modding?

It will bolt in (not sure if you'll need new mounts or not, though) but there is still quite a bit of modding on the side of getting the wiring and computer stuff all ran correctly. It's definitely not just a "plug and play" swap. I've seen write ups on it (and I think someone might have actually started one on here ) and there's quite a bit of work involved but would probably very well worth it if you can have your SB out of commission for a little bit. Very reliable powerplants!

Well, I'm not sure about that part. I know that these 5.3's are usually mated to 4L60E's (or rarely an 80E) and I'm not sure how those differ from say a TH350 or 700R4 but HRPC probably knows. I'm not sure what 'LS' means but they've been using that designation for quite a while now. The one's I've posted are the 5.3 L motors which came out with the body style change in 2000.

I'd like to know the answer to that also.

NO, It will not. 88-98 frame rails are widened out to accomodate the fuel tank being inside the rails. So the perches will be off. It could be modified to fit, but its not an even swap.

Needs special motor mounts. But they are made aftermarket. I just posted a set on this thread like 2 days ago. A guy was selling a set for $100. Then the other is wiring, updating the fuel pump etc. Really not as hard as it sounds. IF you wanted you could also tune the computer to delete the 4L60-E and whatever trans you want.
