You're not kidding. You can get them around here too for $1000 needing some work done, but not a damn rod knock or a transmission that doesn't have 1st gear. I feel bad for my bro, but I sure don't want to pour salt in the wound. I just want to choke his ass for being impatient and not listening to me AGAIN. He has screwed his so many times by not listening to me. And not only that bad news, he borrowed $1500 of that $2500 so he has to pay that back before he can even start building a motor or trans. I have an 81 C1500 GMC truck here with a 305 in it. I know nothing about it sicne I have never tried starting it up, other than it doesn't get spark. I told him to bring his dizzy with cap and rotor over here, swap dizzy and see if he can get it to start and run. If it does, he can use that wee o five til he gets the 350 built. And here is what else is scary, if the guy lied about the condition of the motor and trans, why beleive that its actually a 350 cuz the car originally had a 305. I think my bro just got his has streched out when he got ****** and no vaseline.

Your brother and mine seem a lot alike. He traded the bed off the truck in my av and $2500 for a 1987 Jimmy SHELL that had rust and was near a barn that caught fire. No drivetrain, no usable interior pieces and quite a bit of rust.

I think he became ill when I showed him some of the Blazers and Jimmies that could have been had for the amount that bed was worth.

Yeah, not bad at all really. Would definitely be worth taking a look at if in the market. I was rather surprised. Most of them were pretty solid with their body.

If that's a 292 Inline 6, that is one torquey mo fo that will run forever and ever, and with a SM465 along with it. It won't be no speed demon for certain, but it will sure be a workhorse and tolerate some abuse.
