I have a set of these...

You must be registered for see images attach

But tearing them apart to put in a SB would render them unusable.

But they sure look sweet and fit perfectly in a 1966-67 Chevelle.

Definitely wouldn't want to tear them up!!! :) Now, those in a 67 Chevelle really intrigues me. I like the 67's quite a bit! :)

There was a gold 1967 Chevelle wagon on ebay about 7 years ago that had those gauges in it and it looked really good in that dash.

He must have had to have the tach calibrated for a V8 though since the Cutlasses came with either a V6 or the Quad 4.

That's what I was thinking too. Would be a really cool mod....

There a guy on another board redoing his 70 chevelle. He's putting in some gauges (and actually I think it maybe an entire dash swap ) from an early 70's Monte. Obviously, not digital but still nice subtle mod and it looks pretty good.

Interesting as the Monte and Chevelle SS use identical gauge clusters.
:hmm:
I know some people on 67-72 do 1985-89 Camaro gauges but I am wanting to do some pass-light gauges of some type to update them. My thinking is possibly making a plastic overlay in the same configuration as the SB cluster and doing away with the metal faces, using the original gauges.

I could very well be wrong on the year of Monte cluster. i'll have to go back and reread the build thread to find out. He took pics of the two side-by-side and there were definitely differences.

Maybe he's using gauges from the 1981-88 MC cluster...That would be different. :hmm:

That's possible.....I'm definitely curious to go back and check it out now. I'm definitely not a Monte enthusiast by any means so don't know my clusters in those very well.

You think that's bad, there was a 1986 S10 4x4 on 38s in a salvage auction a few years ago, it had a 2.5 in it...

It was bad enough the S10 Blazer I drove before I bought mine, a 1986 with a 2.5, auto, A/C and PS...

You had to measure 0-60 with a calender...

 sounds like my little 2.8 I had in my 93 s-10. My dad had the 2.5 in an 85 S-15 and the motor didn't have much getty up but it could tow respectably. MUCH better than my 2.8 at least.... That was the only thing I disliked about my s-10.

I like that...

I have a gay friend in St. Joseph...When he and his fiancee get married, I am going to try to go because he wants me to be a bridesmaid.

As in St Joseph, Mo? Both my parents grew up there and my grandparents lived there for years. Currently, one of my BILs lives up there and my wife has quite a bit of family in that area.
