It seems like this guys is very optimistic about how quickly this tailgate will sell.

I'd like to find the guy who can make this work on his "K5 or Suburban.

It actually will fit a K5. The top was optional in the earlier years, those ones used a standard pickup tailgate. K5's retained the standard tailgate mounting points even in the later years.

But ain't no way in hell that it fits a Burb, lol.

I stand partially corrected.

No where near 85k. Chevelles are 35k dollar cars on average. They just made to many of them

Yeah 85k is wishful thinking, it's not a low mile unrestored ls6. The 35k car would be very nice. Hell, half that would still be a damn nice car you could drive and maybe not constantly be worrying about something happening to it.

I'm not a Ferrari guy unless it's the 308 like what Magnum P.I. ran back in the day. There aren't many exotics that I really care about. I'm an old, american iron kinda dude.

I was making a joke about the outrageous price of that Chevelle. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Ferrari

Well, it IS a fresh frame off restore of a numbers matching, low miles '69 Chevelle  What is their going rate? I see a lot of muscle cars going for big bucks so this is a legit question.
35-45k is what I see on chevelle pages I'm on if frame off, numbers matching are 45-60k usually depending on year and if it's a build sheet proven SS it's the higher end of those numbers,i see alot of clone SS chevelles for much more than the non ss, but they usually take forever to sell because they arent true SS cars, I paid 7500 for my 71 chevelle malibu with knocking 350, which is decent because it isnt rusted out and fairly complete and did run on to the trailer, but still needs body work and engine is almost complete, about 9k into it now and much more left to go, and it's not numbers matching either, but after paint and body itll be around a 17-20k car which is about what they go for as far as toys and not collectables

Are you sure memories of the big 'stache aren't the reason you picked that particular model?
