If you drove that thing for a week, your opinion would change. Me, I'd walk on hot coals for that car!

I've had a couple of buick centuries around that vintage. Wasn't impressed then, still not. lol

The Centuries were tuned for old people used to the old boats. While not a Eurosport, that Celebrity has the v6 and rally wheels so it likely has the heavy duty suspension too. It should have sporty driving characteristics, and with that low of miles, it should still have the excellently tuned factory muffler too.

I've owned more than my share of IROC-Z's and also more than my share of Celebrity Eurosports. With a couple simple changes, the handling is right up there with the IROC-Z's, but it has the usefulness of a family sedan. You have to drive one to believe it.

Clean and original or not, for 83 hundo ALLthe gears in the trans better ******' work, not just the forward ones.

Towed from VA to MI with the rear wheels on the ground? Yep, Low/Reverse clutch pack is toast for sure as well as the piston seals and probably more cooked. Some of the fluid may have even boiled out the air vent. I'd imagine that fluid is now black as can be and the rest of the transmission is not far behind.

:laughing1: When I was pulling cars for Copart, I once picked up 2 about 90 miles out of town. The rear axle of this Grand Prix was fuct so it wouldn't roll. The car on deck was an AWD Land Rover, so guess which one got put on the ground? The Granp Prix which is FWD aka Wrong Wheel Drive. I figured with the engine running since it had plenty of gas, even with it tilted up in the back, I towed it in N with the engine running to protect the transmission. I found out that even with the engine running and trans in N, you can't tow them FWD at 87mph cuz after about 45 miles the transmission fluid is hot enough to boil and boil out the air vent and shoot hot transmission fluid all over everywhere and I guess maybe a spark from the coil may have helped, but nonetheless, I had a car fire in my rear view mirror. After a double take in the mirror, Ohhhh **** that's the car I'm towing. Luckily just a quick flash fire and it went out on it's own. I shut the car off, limped back in at about 45-50 mph. Hit a car wash before I made my drop at Copart to clean the engine bay and never said a word. I was expecting to hear something a few days later but never did. I did come clean about it about 5 months later and was told it never became an issue or I'd have known about it. WHEW !!!
