Just wonderin when, you said about the dual tanks and switch valve. My 78 has duals with a bad switch valve.

Yeah, it's a really common problem apparently. I'd really like to get it sorted out and working correctly!

I thought when I looked it up they were pretty easy to get. Like $50 for a delco.

Or do you mean finding it on the truck?
I think it's above the passenger frame rail?
At least I think it is. There's a spot there with a cover over it. I'm assuming it's the valve.

A couple buddies can fix that. I’m rural, stubborn and hate asking for help.

Built a hoist frame from scrap wood and used a come along to get mine off by myself. Pic is bad, but you get the point.

Recently I put it back on with a harbor freight hoist I bought for my guys to get 5 ton AHUs up in attics. I lagged it to this 4x8 I had laying around, put one end on a ladder and the other in a locust tree. OSHA approved for sure.

I bet they're mostly similar. I noticed there's even universal 3 port ones that supposedly work on a bunch of makes and models.
Hopefully someone here has done it and can say "just get the chevy one with the harnesses, but only hook up the yellow wire " (or something like that)
