What was wrong with them???, haven't seen a bad one yet machining was always dead on, Eagle machining is dog **** though.

Here's a stock '85 big block. The air cleaner base is the same as a small block. The air cleaner lid is right up against the hood when closed. The issue you will run into is air cleaner fitament, depending on what intake and carb you have. You'll have to try different bases to see what clears the carb, but will give you the tallest air filter.

You have no idea how frustrating it was I got 2 from summit and the other from Jegs
I ended up getting a Crower crank from summit I have had good luck with Ohio Crankshaft

Oh, I know exactly how that is, been down that road before and it sucks, lol, Crower stuff has always been good and the customer service is tops, at least they used to be back in the day, but it's been quite a while since I been in there and I know things have changed some. Ohio Crankshaft always been top of the line too..
