Factory cab mounts. Cabs never been off. Never felt the need to change them, since they look fine.

There's something very appealing about that truck. Can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something....

Am I crazy to think that I might be able to pull the bellhousing and clutch with the engine?
Remove the slave cylinder, remove 4 bolts, and support the gearbox?

I've done it that way before... just can't remember if it was in a square or something else.

I'm not against modified trucks, but....sometimes there's nothing like a stone stock GM truck.

Same here. Wanted to keep it 100% stock, down to the emissions equipment.

Broke an AIR injection tube last time I pulled the engine, so ditched that whole system. And the low compression 265hp 454 is sooo underwhelming.

Decided to build a 9:1 compression 468 with 2.19/1.88 oval port heads and Lunati roller cam. I had a set of Eagle H beam rods laying around, so went ahead and used them. Didn't see the point of H beam rods with a cast iron crank, so I bought a Scat steel crank.

But I painted the engine black, so it looks stock, except the stainless hardware and aluminum timing cover.

The 2,19s and the 1.88s make a WORLD of difference, it really wakes up the big blocks, especially with the right cam

@Wumbo which cam? Hydraulic?

Yeah, hydraulic. This is my daily driver, so I kept it mild.

That, the 3 angle valve job, and undercut stems should all work nicely together :Big Laugh:
