What sizes are on the step side? I’m going to switch to a set of Rally wheels on my 2wd suburban. 7” in the front and 8” in the rear. Was looking at 275/60r15 for the rear and 234/70r15 for the fronts. My truck is stock height with probably a little sag from age. I’m now going to look at the master craft’s too and get a price from my dealer.

I ran Bfg Long trail ta on a small truck.Two sets.Got a little over 100k from each set.

Uh oh, looks like they mounted your tires backwards! I bet if you get down there soon enough you could get them to flip them around for you and get them whites out like they should be ; )
The truck is gone. That’s the new guy’s problem.

White lettering isn’t available on many tires anymore. I just got these for my older ram. They’d look good on the new one with a bit of lift too.

I just bought a set of Nitto ridge grapplers for a truck. I was liking the coopers as an American made tire. They were acquired in 2020 by another company. According to someone who sells them, the QA on anything but the hybrid and mud tires is spotty. A lot of reports of some being hard to balance.

The good news is a decent tire shop will swap them out, the bad news is you may have some time wasted at the shop.

I had a set of 33” Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT. They seemed to wear decently, but one took a couple tries to balance at America’s Tire. I can’t vouch for the long term reliability though. When I put them on, the truck had 4,000 miles on it and I sold it with 25,000 miles. Looking back, I put 5 coopers on it…and a full eibach suspension under then sold it, lol. Oh well, still made money.

This is sad. I have never had a problem with goodyear, or cooper, but I know that other peopel have had them with goodyear(well, the wranglers that used to be on f150 were junk but they are cheap af tire).. and i also lost a car due to kelly tires blowing out... okay maybe I have, but either way,

notice the "goodyear expects to achieve $165 million in run-rate cost synergies within 2 years"
I dont care what anyone says, but this attitude and this behavior from companies "too big to fail" and in industries with low levels of true competition(how many different companies are there vs how many of those are owned by the same company.. yeah.)

This stuff always leads to corners cut, unecessary changing things that worked just fine or were better, and also a new, uncaring attitude that comes in and doesnt understand and it doesnt want to, getting rid of something or changing something because they have determined it was not necessary or it was too expensive and the company is just barely making it by, ya know? (Lol)

I had cooper AT3s on my Highlander one set ago. I was NOT happy with them. They wore all wonkey, one had a belt that broke and eventually blew out after 6 months or so like that. The whole set probably wore out 10,000 miles before tread rating. I rotate tires and check air pressure band don't slam on brakes or peel out. Have mostly a 55 mph commute through the country on a straight road with like one steep curve in the road and I bear off right before the office on another road, so it's not like I'm taking curves at speed. Only reason I am not super mad is I think I got a pretty good deal on them. But for the price I could of gone with cheap china tires and got the same life out of them easy, saved over $100 a shed and. Ot had me teeth rattled for the last 10 miles.

255/70's at all four corners. I bought the set of Mastercrafts (that are on the wagon now) to run on the stepside, but later decided they might have looked a little too small at the current stock ride height. They are 255/60 and 275/60.

Then I already searched the tire size on tire rack, grit, and showed the AVAILABLE ONLY AS COBRAS AND RADIAL T/a’s, the. Asked if he would be more willing to move to a standard width to fit on his 15 ralleys since 235-245 prpbably has sizes available in at t/a

4) Op has not shared any more thoughts since the clarifying question and that’s fine, just your observation and little tirade isn’t helping anyone since it’s not even founded I’m reality or in good faith

5) since you and I and everyone else has contributed shared experience, photos, you may notice a good chunk of them are AT tires, like at3 from cooper, at t/a from bf. Then I also see a couple other model tires here and there.

6) it is not unreasonable that I would both ask the op to clarify what type of tire he wants because both are offered owl, amd then when he is interested In someone’s all terrain T/a, to think he meant he wants a ducking at tire.

OP asked just about the 275/60/15 tire size. While not really any other useful info was given, that particular tire size is only available as a performance/street tire no matter what the tire brand is. And the selection has dwindled considerably in the last 15 years or so.

When was this? The early AT3 had quality issues, and were not as good as the revision AT3 which came out like 2018 ish I think, times been a few years but if you had the original with the edge of the tread having a continous border around the circumference, vs the models now have an alternating one,
the pic from @SK 99 is hard to tell but this may have been the one im talking about which didnt have the alternating.

Yes. The wheels on the stepside are 8" too.

You are absolutely correct, I bought the tires in 2017, and the replacement tire they gave me last year when the defective tire failed is the "updated" AT3 and looks slightly different than the original.

76 GMC 1/2 ton short bed 2WD. I thought that tire size would help. Just between those 2 brand of tires. BFG has the looks.
