Hi all i have a 84 c20 with a recon th400 a 305 with a mild roller cam a quck fuel 600 slayer duel exhasts and im geting 8 im almost sure have 4.10 in the rear im looking for a way to get this in double figures sumhow ! love the old girl but not to fond of 8 mpg !

I wouldn’t start by restarting a post from 6 years ago.

Start a new thread. I would personally start by testing and troubleshooting the engine. My 1980 K25 with 350/TH400/NP205 would get 7-8mpg with a bad cylinder and generally poor running. With a 2wd and 305, you should be getting 10 or more MPG depending on how much you are keeping your foot into it and how fast you are going. I would start by running a compression test and see what your idle vacuum is. Then move on to a tune up and carburetor tune. If you have bad compression on a cylinder or low vacuum(vacuum leak), you will never be able to get the carburetor properly dialed in or good mileage.
