So to clarify the 88-94 bench or 40/60 splits will fit Ok in the squarebody? I've got an 86 K10 and am wanting to I increase cab space. I'm shortening the column and putting in a 14" wheel too. I'd love to know if you think you gained space by going with the newer seats.
Both fit just fine. The 60/40 is just harder to install because of the transmission, and making another set of 1980s seat tracks bolt down in the center of the cab.

Do you feel like you gained cab space by going with either one from 88-94 vs a stock 86 bench seat?

Yes I did for sure. The 1988-94 is just a thinner seat, top to bottom. The foam is more dense, yet sits comfortably too.

Thx for that info! Feel like you gained space front to back as well? I'm hoping to gain more room between seat and wheel. I appreciate your insight.
