For spark plugs I usually stand on the rim or tire. Used to be able to sit in the engine bay and swap em out when I was younger.

A flexible head 3/8" drive socket wrench was perfect for the rear plug on the passenger's. 1/2" drive regular socket wrench worked just fine everywhere else.

Milk crates make a pretty good "shim" for you short arm types. A rubber cargo strap around the tire is a good thing to keep it from shooting out when you're really stretching.

I was never able to figure out the whole sitting in the engine bay. To do anything in the engine bay, I’ll usually totter on a work bench and fall off a couple times. If I really need to get up in there, then it’s knees on the top of the core support.

Maybe it’s just me, but I never understood the draw to stainless headers. The whole point of the ceramic coating is to keep the heat IN the exhaust system. I can’t see stainless doing that. Granted I have never had stainless headers, so I could be completely off-base. Has anyone had both so they can offer up their insights?

I never thought of that, I Think stainless is just rust prevention on a budget
