How far away is the pedal from the "A" pillar? Normally, it is like 2".

I would check those pivots and the pivot.. part.. is the pedal wobbly side to side? I just went and pushed my clutch, I have an inch if not 1 1/8 or so between the clutch pedal and the switch and then the pedal pushes a fair amount past the switch as well. your floor is intact?

I've got a good amount of clearance too. I'm wondering if the high beam switch is screwed down in the wrong spot.

Could the pad scoot over on the pedal? I dont know what the back looks like, but if the rubber is worn and someone pushes at a left angle or kind of swipes off the pedal rather than pull off over the years maybe its scooted.

Otherwise maybe someone had a binding z bar thing and pushed a little hard or over the years someone had some insanely strong springs they were exercising the ol leg on lol
