Back seat support rod

The support rod on my sons back seat broke where it is riveted near the floor bracket. Has anyone welded this back together or is there a source for these?

Got a picture of what's broken? Are you talking about the rivet/hinge thing?

I purchased a replacement for my backseat when the upholstery shop lost mine during the reupholster..
