axle swap ujoint information

So, I'm new here, but have joined due to my son's 1984 K10 that we are working on for him. Today, we were trying to put the rear driveshaft back in the truck after the engine/trans swap, and found that we have a 1350 in the driveshaft yoke and I am assumin the S44 for the rearend yoke. At this point, I think this truck hates me. I have found the Neapco 2.1153 to be what I need, but I am still wondering if this truck came this way, or the illustrious previous owner pulled a driveshaft from a junk yard in installed. Is this somethig that anyone else has seen?

If the truck is a long bed, it's very possible it's had a shaft put in from a K20. All trans/t-case combos utilizing the NP208 had an overall length that was the same.

I seem to recall some Ford vans that used a bastard u-joint from the factory.

I have a 78 1 ton dually crew cab, long bed. It had the Dana rear end and I swapped for a 3/4 swd Chevy rear end. In doing that my drive shaft is too short. For the life of me I cannot find info on the lengths of driveshafts that were in these trucks. I'm looking for what drive shaft length I need. If i wouldn't have went from Dana to Chevy rear end it would've been fine. Any help is appreciated.

Probably a drive shaft from a 3/4 crew cab would probably work with maybe a ujoint change. I had issue with current truck having an earlier 12 bolt swapped in actually caused driveshaft to be 1" too short. Had to make a new drive shaft

I know I can use a factory length but I just don't know that length. Its $310 to have mine lengthened, so I'm trying to find used. I just don't know exact measurements. I need 2.5" longer.

I am having something similar to this. I put a matching set of axles from a 1976 chevy 4x4 under my 1984 gmc 4x4 and used the drive shafts from the 84 and now I have noticed that the front drive shaft is bent at the slip yoke at the front axle and causing a loud popping noise when it is 4wd. Still have the front driveshaft from the 76 but the u joints are different and doing research to see what I can do with out spending a lot of money for a new one. Not sure what u joints are in either but I had already replaced 2 on the 84 drive shaft at the t case end. I was hoping that I could marry the 2 together and it work with out any issues, cause I use the 84 to pull my 20ft pontoon. Thanks.
