Might have bad heat soak that way, might need to do a dual snorkel

okay well block pontiac, they dont have small or big? Its big by means of a 350 but small by means of 454

The displacement of Pontiac motors is obtained by changing cranks, bore size, rod length, etc.

Take a look at a Pontiac 355, then a 455, you'll notice they look similar in siZe.

Edit : that's to the best of my knowledge, I'm not a Pontiac man.

But I will say dad's pontiac 350 sitting on the floor is the same size block as the 455 short block he's got.

yes from what i gather the only external difference noticeable should be deck height and accessory spacing(depending on heads, intake)

Right, I failed to add that. Deck height.

I believe Pontiac’s have the same deck height/block dimensions across the entire line. The bore, stroke, piston pin height, etc determines the displacement.

the Olds engine family has a small and big block. The 260,307,330,350 and 403 are small blocks. The 400, 425, and 455 are big blocks, with a 1/2 higher deck height. All the exterior bolt patterns are the same.

I think there are engine families with the Buick engines. I’m not familiar enough with them to even begin to discuss it.

No one was listening at the collab meeting when buick said "hey we mount the distributor in the front and it works really well, imagine 4wd trucks" and suddenly talked over by the guys who said "We NEED to change temp sensor design, STAT."

I live in Alabama and have seen worse for 800 bucks. Granted there are many many better options in the south but that one isnt THAT bad for a northern truck. I cant see much in the pics and it could be hiding some serious rot...however you seem to be ok with that so git er done.

Just what you need, another vehicle. Bonus of it being an incomplete nonrunner that was someone's parts truck with a lot of cab rust.

Score.

If it's only missing the engine, trans, the steering column, tailgate, oh and floors. As if that wasn't enough. Where's the gas pedal? What else is it missing?

The guy is holding it for you because nobody else is blowing up his phone over it.

I don't get a good feeling from it. :33:

Reckon it's all subject to the work involved.

A truck like that, in that disposition here?

3-500$.

Up there, it might be worth more considering it hasn't collapsed on itself from rust and there's a truck from the door handles down.
