anything to look out for on newer Burbs?

Well we are undecided. Will probably try and test drive some vehicles next weekend. I really the 05 i posted but she thinks it is huge(current owner moved to a full size chevy van). Not sure how user friendly it is trying to load 2 kids in car seats in the 3rd row either. Might not be bad if 2 more car seats also fit on the larger part of the 2nd row so there is easier access to the rear.

That's the way to do it if it's a middle bench. Put two child seats on the bigger half, so the smaller half can be easily moved to access the 3rd seat. IMHO, middle row captain's seats are worthless for kid hauling.

Ya, that's probably what we would be looking at with an Odyssey im not sure there is enough room in the 2nd row for 2 next to other. Suposedly the outside 2 can each move out 1.5" to accomidate 3 across, but haven't got a chance to look at that yet.

That's the nice thing about a Burb, the interior is much wider than that of an Odyssey. I'm not sure about the newer ones, but with the older Burbs, it's possible to fit 3 child seats in the third row. Some child seats are excessively wide though.

i only need to fit 2 back there thankfully, with no plans of more than 2 in the 3rd row.

in the short term of 1 year (how long it would take to pay off small loan), the burb would cost me 190/month extra. in 2-4 years, burb would save me about 230/month, because of no payment. so definitly got decisions to make. the Ody doesn't seem to get as good of MPG as you would like it should, looks like 20 is the norm. where the burb gets about 14 as i expected it should. just thinking outloud here

anyone know if the rims on that burb i linked too are factory of aftermarket? what kind of money would you guys offer/ max pay for it?

I don't think those rims are factory, or an option from the dealership. I've seen some somewhat similar to them but I don't think so I could be wrong though.

Agreed. You could get dealer-installed 20's, but those don't look like any of them.

OH!!! If your wife is concerned with the overall size, look for a Burb with Quadrasteer! You can fit those things about anywhere a Civic can go.

1. Made my truck feel like a toy.
2. I really want an lsx 5.3/4l60e for my truck
3. All door bottoms inside, rockers, and bottom of rear quarters are showing rust.
4. Underside of floors looked good
5. Gonna need shocks

If it weren't for 3 i would possibly come up with a good offer, but im not going to put money into the body. Number 1 might also be troublesome as she easily likes her little jetta and my subaru impreza

Thanks, that helps. Not sure if going burb route or minivan. But will need seating +cargo volume

If you need seating and cargo volume you'll be wasting your money on a minivan. Burb is the only way to go IMO

We have a '07 Tahoe at work that has 250K highway miles on the ticker and its still on its original trans. We had to replace the rear and gauge cluster. It still runs and drives beautiful.

I know the pickins are slim, but try to go with a 2wd Burb if you can find one.

:word: got 156k on my 07 burb on original, untouched Trans. Love that burb!!!

We specifically got captains in the second row of our burb so that the two bigger kids could walk back to row 3 and buckle themselves while the two car seat kids sit in the middle captain chairs

Split bench does the same thing, my kids are not old enough to buckle themselves yet. Can either remove single seat or slide back/forth.

I thought the burb was huge, my wife is going to hate it i fear. Going to make her test drive this weekend. She also drives 100 miles/day and for daily driving we don't need cargo capacity. Even if we don't get one now, maybe next vehicle will be a burb
