Vehicular theft in our area is at an all-time high, with an average of 81 cars/trucks being stolen daily in two neighboring Washington State counties. Many of these are older classics. I understand that nothing is an absolute solution, but I felt that I had to do what I can to thwart any effort.
Installed an Omega Excalibur AL-1575 alarm system with door pin and hood pin triggers, and glass break detection. Sounds alarm/horn and flashes lights. Installed a Painless Performance remote starter disconnect with latching solenoid with hidden switch in cab. Fabricated and installed a remote hood lock with hidden push/pull handle in cab. Cut ½” aluminum tube with rubber capped ends to sit in rear sliding window tracks. Installed Gorilla acorn open end wheel locks. Locking gas cap.
