I've lurked here for tech info several times and decided to join. Lots of good information and pleasant people. I'm the original owner of a 1987 Silverado. I swapped out the 4.3 to a 5.7 at 193,000, and put 3:73's in when the factory carrier went bad. It's almost an antique now, as am I. Not used as a daily driver, but nothing beats a full sized truck for hauling stuff. It's never been crashed, but almost everything has been replaced at least once.
