I have a 78 C10 350 with original 4brl Quadrajet.
I am looking for an original intake air filter breather and lid (if available).
The snorkle does not have to be intact. i.e. hacked off is ok.
Post a couple decent pics.

Thanks group.

Go to a auto wrecker, my first thought.
I have an account on "pull-a-part" and have set up email notifications for vehicles I'm interested in.
The only issue I have had with it...a huge delay between the time a vehicle hits the yard and the email notification. 2 to 3 weeks is a typical delay.
The other hiccup is I have never seen any vehicle older than 1995 in a bone yard.
However, I think you might be referencing the old style bone yards where you can find really vintage stuff.
There's nothing like that here in salty ohio.

But if someone happens to kick around a old school bone yard and comes across a decent breather, that would kewl.
Thanks.

Sometimes got to make those trips at random to find what you need before the new wrecks are picked a part

What style are you looking for? One with or without the fresh air tube to the core support?

There's still quite a few old style junkyards in the central Ohio area.

Are you looking for one with a narrow snorkel, fat snorkel? Does it need to have a Thermac?

Mine is an original.
It has a short rubber hose going from the passenger valve cover to the air breather to vent crankcase.
It also has a small vacuum line that operates a damper that pulls air from the passenger exhaust manifold stove when engine is cold, then flips to cold air after warm up.
The snorkle is narrow on the end.
The breather has a couple tabs which locates it on the carb in one position only.
If I can find a couple pictures I will post. If not I will go take a couple.

This one is mine.
You can see the arrows point to the 2 tabs that locates the breather to the carb.

So...the snorkle on the replacement does not matter....because,
I am going to remove the snorkle altogether and patch over the opening and make it look nice.
