Adjusting the ignition switch in column?

How do I adjust the rod etc so I don't have to forcefully turn the key to start the truck, it won't start unless I turn the key all the way forward and push as hard as I can!

There should be slots on the switch itself mounted further down the column. I believe you can loosen the switch abd slid it a bit. Orherwise there may be an issue with the rack gear operated by the cylinder.

I'll give it a look, previous owner said he adjusted it like this for a theft deterent, but I feel like I'm going to rip the ignition cylinder out every time I twist it to start! Lol

yeah George is right the switch is about 1/2 down the column on top. it's kinda a pain to get to. if you have to drop your column a little to gain access make sure you disconnect your gear indicator first. that is if you have an auto. highdesertanger
