I got nice black carpet from ACC with mass backing on it.

When I removed my old carpet I left all the factory insulation that was on the floor because it was perfect.

It seems like the carpet doesn't fit snug and I think it's because of this. No one else would notice a problem with the carpet but you know how it goes, if you did yourself - you'll notice it.

I've never installed new carpet but I know they recommend laying the carpet in the sun or under some heat lamps to let it soften up before installing. Also using a heat gun to carefully get localized areas to stretch into place.

it went in pretty easy - almost seems like it's not quite a snug fit.

The form of it seemed to fit the floor contours of the truck quite well.
