A/C hack for non A/C Vehicles

I'd bet most everyone on here has a truck with factory A/C,but some of you my have a fair weather toy like my 66 Chevelle,it's not going to be driven in winter so my solution is replace the heater core with an A/C evaporator, trigger a relay off the heater fan,to lock up the compressor clutch. Yes I plan on using pressure switches in series on the relay ground side

In the original GM systems the evaporator is much bigger than the heater core, and it’s usually so large that it’s in a housing that extends out under the hood. However, newer cars downsized the evaporator and fit it behind the dash, so maybe it works fine when it’s smaller.

Pics of your car? If you have converted to an electric cooling fan package, you will want to make sure they too cycle with the compressor so air is flowing across the condenser.
