I’m swapping over a wiring harness from my ‘87 cab with A/C to an ‘84 cab without A/C. I have all the wiring for the A/C. I still have all the A/C components even though they probably don’t work. Hence why I’m just sticking with plain old heat. How do I wire this up? I have the heater core and the correct control assembly to make it work, but I’ve been playing wirh it and can’t seem to get it to work. Any help? I’ve got all the stuff I need, just gotta hook it up and make it work

Much less involved than the wiring used with an AC system:

Just the four connectors shown above. They go as follows:

1. To the blower motor

2. To the heater resistor stack

3. To the blower speed switch

4. Power in to the speed switch (from the fuse block). The other half of that connector looks like this:

It should have a BRN pigtail that is fed by the 25 amp fuse labeled HTR/AC. It will be different than what was used to power the AC system. So a slight modification will probably be required.

I got it all working, thank you. I just used the same wiring from the A/C unit and taped off some wires and hooked up necessary things to get it to work
