I couldn;t get that plug out of the old head, see it? A 3/8 ratched was too big and a 1/4 ratched was too small. I had nothing else that would fit. So I saved that sensor from the junyard donor intake, and it saved my ass. I was able to plug that hole with it.NNNOOOIIICCCCEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have cleaned and painted the whole thing though LOL.

S is that your temp sending unit for the gauge in the head? looks like the cts for the computer, but they are in the intakes, I guess either place works.
