New to the forum. New to trying to restore anything. My son recently bought an 88 V10 from a friend of mine. It was a play toy. Now it’ll be a daily driver.
I’ve found LMCTruck and they have everything. But some things are just too pricey. i.e. new seats.
I’m finding out that this rig doesn’t have factory seats to begin with. It was originally sent to Regency Custom in Houston. (I believe that’s correct.) Either way it has bucket seats. Driver’s is powered. 2nd and 3rd row are in great shape. Still original blue. Just a little dirty.
Front seats are a different story. I’m looking to repair them and put custom seat covers on them. However, I’m finding lots of good condition seats from different year/models/body styles, even different makes, out there for less than custom seat covers.
Has anyone done a seat swap on one of these or similar? Does it go smoothly? Will different makes like Ford, Dodge, etc fit? Can they be made to fit?
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
