Also, did you happen to measure the difference before and after of removing the front helper spring?
I did not. I can tell you that I went from a very noticeable squat to a very slight rake. I put a level on it both on the bed rails and on the pinch welds under the cab and it is slightly nose down.

The shocks are okay. They made it better and more controllable than the old and worn out shocks I took off.

It just ain't gonna ride smooth no matter what I do. But it rides a heckuva lot better than either of the Squares I drove during the '80s.
