Thought I would get on here and post a little update on the progress of the build. Not much to show picture wise but I am making progress. I got the rest of the interior gutted, got the wiring straightened up in the cab, and have everything unhooked from the motor and ready to pull. My plan is to pull the old motor and trans out this weekend. Also started pulling the unnessasary parts out from underneath the truck like fuel pump and tank brackets.

Great project man! I've always been a fan of V8 S-10s. I worked with a guy in high school that had a Black S-10 blazer with a 350 in it. That thing was mean!

Awesome. I'm not 100% certain, but farily certain since I was in Checotah, OK last week, that the weather is as nice there in Eastern OK as it is in Central, OK but our weather lately has been over the top gorgeous for working on vehicles outside. Long sleeve Tshirt, is about all I've worn till about 7 or 7:30pm the last several days.

Yeah the weather has been pretty nice. I got the motor and trans pulled today. I'll post some pics when I get a chance. My roll pan finally came in as well. Should be a busy weekend of working on the s10.

That 4.3 has been rebuilt before. Might be a good running motor.

Whered you get your rollpan? I got mine from LMC truck and got the metal one so i could weld it in and shape it easier into the bottom of the bed.

I had a 2.8 in my 93 and that thing is grossly underpowered! I think that the 2.5L inline 4 was a better motor!

agreed we had a 92 with a 2.8 and 5 spd. and my 2.8 mpfi camaro 5 spd. ran circles around the s-10. We had no problems with it though, put alot of miles on it, cheap on gas everything.

We got a fiberglass roll pan made by lund for ours from ebay, been years ago though.

Yeah, that 2.8 was reliable so that was a good thing. Just had no umph to it :) my 93 was a 5 speed also. I wish I still had that little truck!
