Trying to figure out how this 2005 Suburban pedal will fit in the truck or if I need to go another route.

Now am I to the point where I need input from the community.

Is there a bracket available to make this pedal work in the truck? Am I wasting my time? I see talk of using a diesel pedal, but I already have this one and would like to make it work so it will talk to the TAC pedal and PCM.

If I reuse the L59 PCM will I be able to use the same software to make this thing run? I plan to use the truck's wiring to turn over the starter. But I do not know how that will interact will all the safeties, interlocks, etc. for the automatic transmission.

Is there a better option than the Dirty Dingo DD-2585-4 motor mounts? I was trying to avoid trimming the crossmember if possible. But I do want the trans to bolt right up and reuse the existing driveshafts.

Seems like you could cut the gas pedal arm and weld on something with the opposite offset.

Cool project, btw!

Nice project.
For the gas pedal, I replied to another thread you posted a pic on what to do.
I used a 90 6.5 Chevy Diesel pedal, looks like the stock one.
If you don't want to do that, you can cut down the donor one, remove the adjustable part, and bolt together.
I did that as a temporary until I found a diesel pedal.
I'll look for a pic.

I didn't realize the pedal was one of the adjustable style. But it made sense after you said something. I am pretty sure I can make something work. I am interested to see what you did if you come across a picture.

That's pretty close to what I did.
I just cut the top part off, basically where to top of your clamp is.
I removed the pivot stud from the pedal and put 2 x 3/8" bolts to hold it together in the middle.

Still looking for the pic...

Can someone post a picture of what the engine mounts should look like that I'm bolting to my new dirty dingo adapters and how it should bolt into the truck? Whoever had the 350 SBC in the truck seems to have done a **** job. It's a hodgepodge of slots and holes and they picked up 3 of 4 bolt holes.

Got the engine painted and installed in the truck. Got the radiator installed, accessories installed, etc. At this point I'm procrastinating on modifying the wiring harness and need to figure out the fuel system.

I spent a long time getting the truck on the road and relatively save to drive and haven't updated in a while so there's a lot to unpack. I will try to keep it in chronological order.

I ended up reusing the clutch and pressure plate that attached the SM465 to the SBC that came out of the truck. Mostly because I'm lazy, and cheap, and it was more of an experiment to see if the autozone flywheel would work with mating an old school trans to the 5.3L.

The trans went together pretty smoothly with the engine with the exception of one bolt that didn't line up between the bell housing and engine. It also became obvious pretty early on that neither the Vortec manifolds or the LS3 manifolds off my car were going to clear the external slave cylinder.

The "ears" on the manifolds and the O2 sensor also wanted to occupy the same space as the frame so I knew the easy exhaust was not going to work for me.
