Yeah i like it too. Thats one of the main things that caught my eye. Everything that is black on the body will be chrome again ... hmmm maybe a set of 4'' or 5'' chrome smoke stacks out of the box

That just screams "wannabe trucker"
Coolest exhaust I have seen on a shortbed, are the old school Trans Am dual chrome tips just barely peekng out from the bottom of the bed quarters on both sides.

Ok, you are going to want to get on ebay and get a chip for an auto. The one in that ECM you have now, is for a Manual trans HD truck...it wont control your 700r4.
In fact, I think 89s may have an ecm laying around with ASDU in it. Which means your wiring harness is not set up for an auto trans.
I can walk you through making a trans control harness, and pinning it to the ECM, but you will need a 7747 ECM

There are pressure switches and a lockup solenoid that are controlled by the ecm. You could also go to a trans shop and have them install a lockup kit.

SON OF A BITCH !!! Well guys ... my 86 GM build is put to a screeching halt. At 5:22 am this morning i was woken up to a noise that sounded like a shotgun going off. For those you guys who dont know where i live im 30 minutes west of Ottawa in Canada ( Feeling the high winds out here ... thanks hurricane sandy :upyours: ). Low and behold when i went outside to see where the noise came from ... yeah ... i found the source of the noise ... i was greeted to a maple tree sitting in my shop ... yeah thats right i said IN my shop. Thanks you hurricane sandy for pulling a maple tree out of the ground by the roots and dumping it through the roof of my shop. Thank god my GM wasnt in the shop last night. So before i head outside and try to start the long and tiring clean up id like to once again say thank you hurricane sandy for destroying my one and only shop * mumbles under my breath ... you bitch *

Brings new meaning to the term "Shadetree Mechanic" I guess.

All joking aside, that sucks to hear. Do you have insurance that will cover it?
