I need some help locating a part number of my cruise control switch on the column of my 83 K10. I pinched/ruined a wire replacing the turn signal cam/switch and now the cruise control is inoperable. I'd rather not have to splice into the wire harness as there is very little room along the bottom of the column.
From my research it seems to be first year of the Cruise Master III system, and a one year only part since in 84 the wiper control was added to the switch.

There is some manuals and literature in the Squarebody Library. Not all years are there but many are. It looks like he's got this one handled now.

You mentioned on the dash, but you actually mean on the Multifunction Switch right? The Multifunction switch being the turn signal stalk that has all the features like wipers, cruise, bright lights etc. Many confuse the terminology and that's all good and why we're here. For example if you ask for a turn signal switch your going to get the plastic part inside the steering column, where most think they're getting what's actually called the Multifunction Switch which is the turn signal stalk on the models like 84 and later when wipers came off the dash, and bright light switch came off the floor where the passenger ejection seat button goes for those bitchy wives and side chicks.

Yes, I am talking about the lever/stalk extending from the column. I figured since I mentioned cruise control that there wouldn't be confusion with the internal switch.

I have a cruise control stalk/switch for an 81-82 Truck that I first purchased by mistake that I need to sell. GM#25030993, NOS in the plastic. $80 I'll pay the shipping.

Dayum. I was all excited thinking that would look like my '80 with only a simple push button on the end.

No dice.

:(

Free bump, though ! :)

Post a pic of your switch.

I have the switch that came with the column I put on my Olds. The column came from a 75 cutlass with the headlight dimmer on the turn signal switch, and just the single set button on the end of the lever.

That looks like the one I had on my 78, except it's straight where mine has the slight bend at the switch. Found one that looks like yours on Classic Industries, part number 6465256. Might try that
