Naww, Actually about $1900 for this. I am assume its the 2 Piece rear main seal with powder metal rods and 4 bolt main and that is without intake and carb.

I'd have to get a part # firstto know exactly cuz they sell so many different configs at different price levels...

Oh alright :waytogo: so it's not the 'steal' I thought I was. Just trying recoup the money spent I guess  in mine is the 330 hp variation I think they called it the 'H.O. deluxe' or something and it was quite a bit more than the 1500 for this one...

I was actually thinking it was the $1800 unit, but still with the intake and carb, its still a deal if its still has warranty with it.

I'd agree with that. I know mine came with a 3 yr/36k mile warranty. Hard to beat that deal. Would definitely make a nice addition to a square that is intended for daily use but is having motor issues...

Alot of people knock those Heche En Mexico motors, but they really aren't bad for the money. They are brand new motors, not rebuilts. They come with powder metal rods, nodular iron cranks instead of standard iron, and 4 bolt mains.
Dave is right though, IF, and I reitterate, IF you know what you are doing and can build a good motor yourself, you will get better bang for the buck doing it yourself, but you also don't get a warranty, and if your machinst missed something and your $1000 projects fails in the first 500 miles, its all your baby !!!

Yes it was a $1500 motor new, 150 in freight, and then another 500-600 in carb, water pump, fuel pump, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, etc... Purchase date was 12/26/2009 (within a day or 2)

All the little things add up fast.

I am up for package deals and offers.....

Thanks for looking guys.

That does make a huge difference! My 'HO Deluxe' with 330 hp came with all that stuff already on it. Probably another reason it was higher in price.

Someone really needs to snarf this up!!

Everyone needs an Uncle for a machinist, I build stuff for his cost, if it breaks he fixes it period. He is also well known to be the best around. Built one for my best friend TBI all new parts except block and heads, 1000$, gave my buddy 3 years as long as he doesn't swamp it, and keeps an air cleaner on it.

I tell people all the time, you need to find a machinist and get on first name basis with him. Your machinst you choose, is like your Dr. You better trust him and be able to communicate with him. Even if you have to drive to the other side of town to be using a reputable machinist, then you do it. Don't ever go with some half assed machinist that cuts corners. Also, NEVER rush your machinist. Tell him take his time, whenever it gets done, it gets done, but you just want it right. If he tells you 3 days, tell him 5 days would be just fine, just get it right for me. My machinist appreciates that ****, and sometimes he gets backed up, and he'll call me and tell me, I got some jackass pounding my door down to get his **** done, do ou mind if i put yours off another day? I say sure go for it, just hook me up right. And he does. He's also honest. I have had hm mic a block for me before, and he told me, it'll get by like brand new with a hone and new rings, leave it here and I'll clean it up for you for $25. So I go pick it up for $25, he hottanked it, power honed it for me, and charged me $15 for new cam bearings and installed those for me too. Then I install the brass freeze plugs and its like a fresh block good as new. Most machinist will lie and say, yep it needs bored at least .030 over whether it needs it or not.

Sent you a PM about the cab, hope you don't need it gone fast as I could really use it. My cab is more rust than good metal after the pounding its taken this winter. Oh, and as a side note to HRPC, there aren't any good rust free, low damage cabs to be found within driving distance of me, for any price from what i can gather. And $500 for a cab beats me buying a whole other truck to tear into LOL

Are you willing to price just the motor as a long block, with no accesories like the manifold and carb and headers and chit?

I know, I hear that about the east coast alot. I wish I was a member here before I sold that perfect cab for $50. When I say perfect, I mean it was perfect. It was ready to be prepped for paint. Sand it, primer it, paint it and assemble the truck. That's all it needed. It was primo. No dents, no rust.
