Hi!!..not new to squarebodys, but just bought a '87 Crew Cab Dually, needs a bunch of work, but it will be a work truck for a while. Question is, what is the lug pattern on these, and what will interchange??...Looking at a set of Ford Transit aluminum take-offs now, and it a pretty good deal,...if it fits!!

Not sure what pattern the Ford Transit wheels are (same as F250?), but its unlikely to fit. Older 8 lug wheels often had the same pattern for multiple manufacturers and they were lug centric. If the hole in the middle was large enough to fit over the hub, they worked. Many newer 8 bolt Ford wheels are hub centric, so the hub is used to center the wheel. It has to be the right size and fit.

GM uses the same lug pattern for the 8 lug trucks through the 2010 model year. 2011 and newer are a different, larger pattern. I believe the other makes changed around the same time, so the Transit van is likely to be the newer pattern.

Older GM dually wheels are hub centric. Even though stud pattern may be the same, studs alone are not designed to support loads. Have seen all 8 studs shear off and drop on the ground while driving. This is why GM wheels may not fit other brands without opening up the center hole. Some Dodge wheels are hub centric but don't know if centers are interchangeable. Just sayin look at everything.
