Good point, there is a little bondo.
The weight reduction from rust may be compensated for somewhat by the bondo. One of my concerns has to do with the travel on the aftermarket shocks.
Another is the profile, do not want her to squat before I put a load on her.
So matching the weight of the bed when I removed it is more relevant than when new.
The 3/4 springs I added a few years ago acted like a lift kit and increased load capacity.
