1980

I kind of like the ‘80 better with the black but yeah, $700 is hard to swallow. I saw one on eBay for $1200 a while ago.

What is the difference ? I cannot tell.

My '80 has the center bar painted the primary body color.

The openings are black on the 1980 grill and all argent on the ‘79.

Damn straight. Got mine for $50. I see them weekly on CL Phoenix.

If this is true, you have the opportunity to rake in a lot of easy cash.

Are you looking for the entire grill then or just the trim bars? I have both available...

That price is what I charge for my restored versions as seen in pic above. Damn...maybe I better go up in price lol. The last one I sold for $625 shipped.

So this is kinda random but I picked up a 77 that had this option. I am pretty sure my Jimmy doesn’t now. Glad I started this thread though.

I definitely want to restore the grill, maybe both of them. They are nice but so so, along with the rest of the trim.

Here is the option sheet, RPO V22. The guy custom ordered this truck and has excellent memory.

That's a chevy though. Chrome grille trim was much more common for some reason. It's also different trim than the GMC grille trim.
