Thanks for the info. I was aware of some of the things you mentioned. But also learned a few things. That is what makes this forum great.

It lives!!!!! Started right up and ran great. Even made one lap around the yard. Now onto the interior so I can run it down the road. I have a video, trying to figure out how to get it to down loaded to my computer. Will post when I do.

Drove the 77 to work last Monday. Everything was great going to work, but about half way home the right front tire started to vibrate. So I slowed down and nursed it home. Luckily the tire held together. It had a huge bulge in the tread. So now I am doing laps in the yard until I get new tire at the end of the month. Overall it is running great.

Interior is back together. All the gauges work! First time since I have owned it that the gas gauge has worked. All the lights in the instrument cluster have been replaced with LEDs. They look great but since they are LED, they no longer dim or brighten when turning the light switch. Now it needs a stereo.

Glad you were able to get it slowed down before that tire caused any damage. Hope they are not all that old looking.

I have been on the fence thinking about how to run my battery cables and intake. I see you have it set up like an LS. Did you swap over the battery tray or did you have to buy an auxiliary tray?

You can also make a battery tray. 3 flat pieces of metal and a few holes... Rivet or weld it together and then bolt it right to the radiator core and then buy you one of those universal hold down brackets with the bottom hooks and drill a couple holes in the bottom plate

I ordered the auxiliary battery tray for my truck from LMC. Then mounted the air box to old battery tray on the passenger side. Yes I could have fabricated one but wanted it to look factory.

Cleaned up the grill and bumper and painted brush guard. Even started cleaning up the wheels.

Fan shroud extension.

A lot of guys have spent a lot of time and resources trying to figure out how to move their fan and I was standing out in the garage looking at some 14 gauge steel trimmings about 3 inches wide and had an epiphany. Hopefully it will suck in a good way!!!!

I was talking about the shroud extension. It's essential for making sure it draws air properly
