If I’m right on that being the issue you could cut the flare off that line and add a regular tube nut with this adapter from amazon or use a line like this which has the 3/16 diameter line with a 9/16 thread on it like that factory would have.

They look like the wrong fittings for the master cylinder. When fully snugged up, there should still be some threads visible.

Is that taper in the MC concave or convex? Should be sloping out towards you (convex). Optical illusions...

Did you see the part about where bucket mentioned the flare nuts depth? I should still have threads out past the mc when tightened.
