Yes I have searched but cannot find my actual situation.

My 1983 GMC c1500 has the original 305 and 700r4,
but a prior owner installed an Edelbrock 600 on an adapter and it wants to shift earlier than I would like.

Searching the internet I see some cheaper ($15-50) corrector kits that only have an adapter for the carburetor arm,
or more expensive ($120-150)kits that have a new bracket that attaches to the manifold also.

Has anyone on here been in my situation and know what I need to adjust it right?

Attached pic of my current set up.

I bought a holley bracket and modified it. Just hold button and open throttle all the way is how I set mine

Don't skimp or cut corners on TV it's the fastest way to an early death on a 700r4. . Cost for a pressure gauge and a proper correction bracket IDK 100.00. Price of R&R + rebuild 700r4 what $2500.00

I made my bracket from a combination of an oem manifold bracket and a cheapie aftermarket bracket. I just cut them and welded them together in in order to get the proper geometry for the cable with the edelbrock carburetor.
