Hi,
So i'm looking to buy a set of 35's, and to have them stick out a little cause i like that look ill probably get a set of 12.5's(Widths)

I do not know what my gearing is in the rear, but will this be too much of a strain on the transmission?

It's not good for it. If you can keep the shifter in 3rd gear it would help.

Just hope you have at least the 3.73's, add a big trans cooler and as suggested don't use OD. 4.56's would be much better in the axles but I'm 99% certain you won't have those in a K10. You'll be lucky if you have 3.73's and not 3.08's.

I always have it in 3rd, never drive.

And, i'll use the Gear ratio calculator you posted when i get a chance
Previous owner said that the owner before him had told him that the gearing is "lower", not sure if he meant in actual ratios or if he means a higher gear ratio and just didnt know what he was talking about, which he probably didnt.
If i remember correctly, the PO told me the reason he always puts it in 3rd and not drive because of the "lower gearing", and when he said it i think he was just repeating stuff someone told him, not knowing what he meant by that

And, the reason i shouldn't use OD and drive in 3rd is because of the larger tires, right?
3rd is fine for me on the highway, going 75 and im not quite at 3 grand,so i never really even have wanted to use it

You need at least 4:10 gears for a 700r4 and 35s or its just a matter of time:bawl:

If you are only turning 3 grand in 3rd at 75, you most definitely have a "high" gear like 3.08. People use the wrong terms all the time with rear gears. A "low" gear is 4.10 or 4.56. Higher number = lower gear.

What if i was turn at 3500-3600ish at 75? Would it still be the same? I cant remember weather it was 3 or that, so ill have to try it again

Or you could just look on the sticker inside the glovebox. Unless somebody has done an axle or cab swap at some point.

Sticker in the glovebox only has "Truck Camper Loading Information" and the VIN, nothing about the gear ratio

That sucks. It should have all your factory specs unless somebody has torn it out at some point.

Yea no, maybe the glove box was replaced.. it doesnt have anything to stop it when it open, so itll fall unless your holding it, so maybe its out of a different model?

The stickers are held in there very well. It probably got ripped out.
